Sam is the head writer and stage director for Melbourne based comedy group Aunty Donna who have toured globally selling out shows in Australia, New Zealand, The UK & Edinburgh, Hong Kong and North America.
Aunty Donna have been influential in the online space for over 12 years with their YouTube channel, amassing over 200 million views through their short form comedic content. With popular web series like 1999, The Album and Glennridge Secondary College the content has built them 2.2 million followers on all social platforms. Sam has been the head writer and Executive Producer on the 2020 Netflix Original series Aunty Donna’s Big Ol’ House of Fun and the 2023 ABC series Aunty Donna’s Coffee Cafe.
Sam works in development as an Executive Producer for the group's production company, Haven't You Done Well Productions. He Oversees and provides steady guidance across all the Grouse House original content, Aunty Donna & HYDWP slates. Sam is a producer of the HYDW & Grouse House improvised studio series The Most Upsetting Guessing Game in the World. He is currently working as an EP on Westerners as part of the ABC and Screen Australian initiative Fresh Blood as well as his feature film, written with Michelle Brasier, The Alien Abduction of Emily Hill.
