Biography
Having spent 18 years in education leadership and the sport sector, Kim is now in her fourth year as Head of Safeguarding for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). She has developed a risk-based safeguarding framework applied across television, audio, live events, and international content partnerships. Her work focuses on embedding safeguarding governance into commissioning, production assurance, and supplier ecosystems to ensure consistent protection for children and vulnerable contributors.

Under Kim’s leadership, the BBC achieved independent certification to the British Standards Institution (BSI) Safeguarding in Out-of-School Settings standard, becoming one of the first global broadcasters to achieve a formally recognised safeguarding standard. She works closely with regulators and industry bodies to support the development of consistent safeguarding approaches across the creative industries
