Biography
Sierra Schrader is a Kuku Yalanji, Guugu Yimithirr and Biri Gubba filmmaker from Port Willunga, South Australia. She completed a Bachelor's Degree at Flinders University in 2018 in Creative Arts (Screen).
 
Following her studies, Sierra has immersed herself within the Australian Screen Industry in various roles. She has performed different Director's attachments nationwide of her own accord, including on the set of Upright with Tim Minchin in Adelaide in 2018. Shortly after, she continued onto Channel 9's Bad Mothers with Catriona Mckenzie in Melbourne Sierra and also obtained a director's attachment with Rachel Perkins and Blackfella films on the Total Control set with ABC in 2019.
 Sierra's first work as a Producer was a mini-documentary entitled Electric Mimili for ABC Television's 'Deadly Family Portraits' series about Robert and Zaachariaha Fielding, an Aboriginal father and son artist duo from Mimili South Australia, which aired in 2019.

From 2019 to 2021, Sierra has been a participant in the 'Indigenous Producers Program', supported by Screen Australia and the South Australian Film Corporation.

In 2021, Sierra was an Associate producer with No Coincidence Films on the Indigenous feature anthology film, We Are Still Here. A unique film collaborative between Indigenous cultures in Australia and New Zealand. Also in 2021/22, Sierra was the Producers Assistant/attachment on Netflix's Heartbreak High series.

Right after Heartbreak High, Sierra obtained a Director's Attachment on a Google TVC with Stefan Hunt. She then went on to work closely with Rachel Perkins on a drama-documentary entitled ‘The Australian Wars’.
