Biography
Scarlett is a producer whose credits include Jessica Smith’s limited series, ‘Videoland’, which was awarded Best Series in the Comedy Competition at Series Mania 2024 and now appears on Netflix and Canal+. The series stars Emmanuelle Mattana and was made with support from Screen Australia, VicScreen and Queer Screen.
Currently Scarlett is producing the animated comedy ‘Deadbeat Ends Meet’ by popular online comic artist, Evie Hillier, for LateNite Films alongside Nick Colla where she is undertaking a VicScreen supported Producer Placement.
Scarlett previously produced Libby Butler’s rom-com series, Loving Captivity, starring Christie Whelan-Browne which was supported by the City of Melbourne and Screen Australia.
Prior to producing, Scarlett completed a law degree then developed her screen career in the Production Management department on large-scale television series. She has been fortunate to work under and learn from respected practitioners such as Tony Ayres and Joanna Werner on Clickbait (Netflix), Jacob Hickey on Books That Made Us (ABC) and Anna Gregory on House of Wellness (Seven Network), among many others.
As a creator, she was selected in 2023’s SPA Pitch On Demand competition and Sydney Film Festival’s writers incubator, Platform: Lab, in 2024.
Also a mother of two, Scarlett is dedicated to promoting access to meaningful careers for woman in the screen industry and is proud to be participating as a mentor in this year’s ElevateUs program run by WIFT. She is also committed to producing stories that encourage inclusivity for people with disabilities in devotion to her totally-blind toddler.
