Biography
Queer Ghungalu Writer, Director and Producer, Joseph Meldrum has worked in the film and television industry across Australia and North America in a range of roles and departments since 2016. More recently, Joseph has been a Content Director and a Development and Investment Manager at both Screen Australia, and Screen Queensland, in the First Nations department working on projects such as, “Total Control S3" (2024), ”Black Snow” (2022), “The New Boy” (2023),“Limbo” (2023),“The Dark Emu Story” (2023), ”We Are Still Here” (2022), ”First Weapons” (2022), “Rebel With A Cause” (2022), “Our Law S2” (2024) and many more. Joseph’s background is working in production where he was an Assistant Producer and also worked in the Camera Department for Discovery Channel’s largest series “Gold Rush” (2020-21) for two seasons, filming in remote Yukon Territory, Canada. Joseph has also worked in the Lighting and Electrics Department on scripted features and series such as Joyride (2023), Peacemaker (2022), Midnight Mass (2021), Two Sentence Horror Stories (2020) and many more for the likes of Netflix, HBO, Lionsgate, Paramount Plus, AMC Plus and CBS. Joseph has written, directed and produced commercial content since 2016 for the likes of the Northern Territory Government under his own banner ‘Faun Films’ under which his debut short film “Maison”, (Writer, Director, Producer, shot in Canada in 2021) premiered at the 40th Anniversary St Kilda Film Festival.
