Biography
Michelle is an award-winning screen content producer and co-founder of Adelaide-based production company Hardy White Pictures, (HWP) alongside director Erin White. She brings over 25 years of industry experience spanning multiple formats and genres.

Michelle is currently developing the HWP slate of scripted TV drama projects, including an 8x1hr Trans-Tasman dystopian romantic odyssey with Sky NZ, along with two TV dramas she created and is writing.

Michelle recently founded Story To Screen, a company dedicated to empowering emerging and early-career filmmakers to bring their stories to the screen.

Since 2020, she has worked across screen industry programs and has also served as a course convener and tutor for AFTRS, Screen Producers Australia (SPA), and The Mercury.

Previously, Michelle served as Head of Production across two production companies and spent three years as VP of Scripted Development at Essential Media from 2017, where she spearheaded the development and sale of the hit series Under the Vines.

Having commenced producing scripted TV in 2013, her broadcast credits include co-producing Austin Series 3 (ABC), associate producing three seasons of the rom-com drama Under the Vines (AcornTV/TVNZ) and serving as line producer attachment on the drama Treasure and Dirt (ABC). Her producing background also includes the sketch comedy Wham Bam Thank You Ma’am (ABC/NBCU), the half-hour comedy Timothy (ABC), and the International Emmy® Award-winning series #7DaysLater (ABC).

Before pivoting to scripted TV, Michelle produced across major factual series - including Seven Network’s The Great Outdoors and Better Homes and Gardens - and the 11-part entertainment comedy series Back Seat Drivers for the ABC.

Earlier in her career, she spent several years producing award-winning branded content campaigns for agencies, networks, and production companies in both the UK and Australia.
