Description

Is there more freedom when it comes to leading the narrative in a game or a film? Does it have to be a feature film or a TV show? Why not a game? Does the game have to have a narrative construct, or can it be free flowing? Does writing for interactivity equal freedom or constraint? How are these storytellers transferring their skills? What is so appealing to them about game development? What are the advantages and the disadvantages? From immersive world-building to player agency, we explore how game development elevates storytelling to new heights and the nuances that set it apart from traditional cinematic narratives.
