COURSE OVERVIEW

The Producer Offset is an integral part of the finance plan for most Australian film and television projects. As such, the amount of work required to prepare and submit an application is reflective of this, taking weeks or months depending on the size of production. Small mistakes or missing information can significantly delay an application or reduce total QAPE, impacting the offset received by the producer from the ATO.

This SPA Masterclass aims to provide producers with the best practice approach to preparing for the Producer Offset. Over two sessions, expert speakers will cover key topics on provisional and final certification, including company structures, offset lending, interested party & reinvestments, and 40% eligibility. Screen Australia will also provide an update on application logging and assessment times before the masterclass finishes with a panel discussion and Q&A session.
