Description

A deep dive into Virtual Production and it’s many variations. 3D, 2D, motion capture, LED to fully Integrated - what does it all mean and how can we demystify it to be cost effective with real benefit and potential for tv and film producers, as the infrastructure behind this expands bringing down costs which will have a huge impact on the industry in coming years. Virtual Production is tipped to be the biggest tech growth sector in the next 10-20 years, with a forecast of 18.5% growth by 2027. There is a requirement as an industry to constantly rethink how we do things and Virtual production is just another step in the evolution of the tools we use on screen.

It is here to stay, and our industry skillsets need to change and adapt to embrace the benefits it can provide. With half of the post-production being mapped out in pre, how does this change the cycle of a production, the planning and the workflow? What are the new roles to fill and how can we upskill the current roles. We meet with experts covering all areas of Virtual Production from 2D, 3D, animation, live action, education, employment pathways and the software behind it all – Unreal Engine.
